not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Junk Food Flip follows Bobby Deen and Nikki Dinki as they travel the country looking for the most-delicious guilty pleasures that they can flip into lighter dishes that are still indulgent and taste great but can be eaten every day. When they find the right dish, Nikki and Bobby issue a challenge to the owners of the restaurant that created it: If people think their version is as delicious as the original, then it goes on the menu. If not? The owners get bragging rights ... and cash. The two dishes then go head-to-head in a fun-filled showdown where a hungry crowd of locals determines which version they enjoy the most.
Bobby Deen and Nikki Dinki travel to San Diego to sample the famous 1430-calorie Quadruple Bypass at Carnitas' Snack Shack; Nikki and Bobby join forces to create a worthy Challenger called The Pacemaker, amounting to 880 calories.
The "Cro-Do Burger" is a 1650-calorie California champion that uses a pancake battered, deep-fried croissant donut as the bun! Long Beach, Calif., is the scenic scene of the flip, with local beachgoers serving as taste testers, but it's no day at the beach for Nikki Dinki and Bobby Deen as they work to get the Challenger's calories and taste just right. Find out the fate of their "Low-Cal So-Cal Burger" and see if a cocky 17-year-old chef can take down the Junk Food Flip chefs!
Chef Paul Cao created his signature dish, a burnt Spaghetti Slider, in his dorm room at UCLA on a hotplate. Today, at Burntzilla, Bobby Deen and Nikki Dinki must face off against this 500-calorie fried pasta slider, served in a trio, that starts with burnt mozzarella cheese, a homemade Bolognese sauce, and is served on a Hawaiian roll.
The guys at Bruxie have reinvented the sandwich, using a thin Belgian waffle as the bread, so Bobby Deen and Nikki Dinki will really have their hands full in this flip of the "Founder's Favorite," a fried chicken and waffle combo, that also features gruyere cheese, prosciutto di parma, arugula, hollandaise sauce and an over easy egg!
