Watch as these men face off against mudslides, falling trees, ravaging weather and even hungry animals, to make sure they obtain the food and supplies they will need to make it through the brutal winter months ahead.
In the premiere episode Marty guides daughter Noah through her first bush plane landing at a remote caribou camp; Mike hauls a 50-foot gangway across land and sea to his Kodiak homestead; Bret and Ivy fend off a hungry brown bear raiding their salmon nets; Lauro and Neil use an age old technique to hunt moose by boat on an isolated river; Chance and Soraya insulate their log cabin with sod and moss from the surrounding forest.
Marty flies to new hunting grounds in search of an elusive caribou herd and Lauro and Neil build a trapping and fishing camp to help feed their sled dogs.
Chance and Soraya slaughter a ram to provide meat for their growing family and Lauro begins preparation for this year's Iditarod by taking his team on a fall training run.
Bret and Ivy bust through sheets of lake ice to ferry critical equipment to their cabin by boat and Lauro and Virginia use the dog team to haul fresh cut timber from the forest for a log cabin build.
Lauro guides his dog team through frozen wilderness to reach Neil at a remote trapping camp.
While hunting for meat, Mike crosses paths with a prowling brown bear and her cub.
Mike journeys to an uninhabited island to hunt a herd of wild buffalo with help from the local natives; Lauro pushes himself training for the upcoming Iditarod with a grueling 260-mile run through the Alaskan wilderness.
