A competition like no other, A Cut Above puts 12 of the best chainsaw carvers from across the world to the ultimate test of creativity, strength, and skills, as they turn ordinary logs into extraordinary works of art. Each episode, the carvers compete in weekly Quick and Master Carve challenges, while racing against the clock, in hopes of avoiding elimination. At the end of the grueling competition, the carver who out carves the rest, wins a cash prize and will be named "A Cut Above".
The carvers create headgear and then travel back in time to create a story of evolution.
The remaining carvers are taken for a ride by this week's Quick Carve; they must defy gravity in the Master Carve to make it to the finale.
In the penultimate challenge, the carvers are under pressure more than ever, as only three will advance to the final.
In the season finale, three of the world's best chainsaw carvers face off in the ultimate final challenge to earn $50,000 and the title.
