Each episode, the carvers compete in weekly Quick and Master Carve challenges, while racing against the clock, in hopes of avoiding elimination. At the end of the grueling competition, the carver who out carves the rest, wins a cash prize and will be named "A Cut Above".
In the series premiere, 12 of the world's top chainsaw carvers travel to a remote forest to compete in the ultimate carving competition.
